The Bargain Hunter

The Bargain Hunter was first published in 1973, by GPI's founders Abe and Fran Mast. What was once a shopper in Millersburg, Ohio, has evolved into a network of free weekly newspapers serving the region of Holmes, Wayne and Tuscarawas Counties in Northeastern Ohio, and has spawned a regional publishing leader with paid and free publications and products in many and various sectors and communities.

The Bargain Hunter is recognized as one of the region's leading sources of news regarding events and commerce. It is typically printed in two sections, a broadsheet news section, containing local news, health news, church news, scholastic and sports news from local schools; and a tab section known as "Marketplace," focusing on local business and commerce, featuring the popular "Community Bulletin Board" where readers can find out about upcoming events and happenings, feature stories, weekly columns, and a large offering of local real estate, auctions and classified ads.

The Holmes Bargain Hunter and Wayne Bargain Hunter are delivered via carriers and mail each Monday to homes in Holmes and Wayne Counties. The Tuscarawas Bargain Hunter is mailed to homes each Friday in Tuscarawas County. All editions are also available free at newsstands and racks throughout the region.
